I'm Katey McPherson. This site is mine, and so is the responsibility for what happens to anything you share on it. Here is exactly what gets collected, where it goes, and why.

What I collect, and when

Nothing happens until you do something. Reading any page on this site, including Need Help Now, collects nothing from you. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, and no third-party trackers on this site.

Information is collected only when you choose to give it:

• When you submit a form. Your name, email, phone number if you include it, and whatever you write in the form. Some forms ask about your child's age range or what's going on. You decide how much to say.
• When you use the chat. The chat widget asks for your name and a phone number or email before it starts, and keeps what you type in the conversation.
• When you book a call. Your name, email, phone number, and the time you chose.
• When you buy something. Your payment details go directly to the payment processor, not to me. I receive confirmation that you paid and what you bought, never your card number.

Where it goes

I use a small number of services to run this site. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job.

• GoHighLevel stores your contact details, your form submissions, chat conversations, and bookings. It is the system I use to keep track of who I'm talking to and to send you email. It is also what runs the chat widget and the booking calendars you see on this site.
• Stripe processes payments when you buy a session, a workshop, or a course. Stripe receives your payment details directly; I never see or store your card number.
• Vercel hosts this website and serves its pages. Like any web host, it logs the technical details of requests, such as IP address and browser type, for security and performance.

That's the list. I don't sell your information, rent it, trade it, or share it with anyone for their marketing.

What I do with it

• Reply to you, and follow up when I said I would.
• Match you with a professional in the Family Network, if you asked me to. I share with that professional only what you've agreed I can share, and only after I've spoken to you.
• Send you email you signed up for: a guide you requested, confirmation of a booking, a workshop reminder, or the newsletter. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and it works.
• Deliver what you bought.

Confidentiality, and the one exception

What you tell me stays with me. I don't share it with your child's school, with other parents, or with anyone else without your say-so.

The exception: I'm a mandatory reporter. If I learn that a child is being abused, neglected, or is in immediate danger, I'm required to report it, and I will. I'll tell you when that's happening rather than do it behind your back. What you share with me is not legal privilege, the way it would be with an attorney or a therapist, and I won't pretend it is.

Children

This site is for parents and the adults who work with them. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information here, contact me and I'll delete it.

How long I keep it

For as long as we're in contact, and for a reasonable time afterward so I can pick up the thread if you come back. Ask me to delete your information and I will, unless I'm required to keep a record of it.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it.
• Ask me what I have on you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Use the Connect page.
• Don't use the chat widget if you'd rather not. Every page works without it.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. The services I use are established companies with their own security practices. No system is perfect, and I won't claim otherwise; I keep the list of services short and the information I collect to what I actually need.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to how I use information you've already given me will be sent to you, not just posted here.
